Here at High Country Canine, we believe that the core tenants behind training are building up the relationship and finding a way of establishing communication bridges between each human leader and their canine companions. Our proprietary EmBARK curriculum is a tried and tested system, that we analyze and adjust to meet the specific learning needs of each pack. We truly believe that the best gift you can give to your newest pack member is the fun and enriching lifelong learning journey that begins at the start of your first session in one of our EmBARK classes.
High Country Canine’s stellar reputation is built upon the success of our propriety, premium EmBARK training system. We use a deep understanding of human and canine psychology to make sure there is a deep mutual communication bridge between you and your new companion. We are strictly positive reinforcement trainers, using a combination of motivation, communication, and play. With obedience at the core, we use methods that show you and your dog how to truly connect. While there are many working methods to train your canine companion to understand you, with our system, you’ll be able to understand them too! We are ecstatic to EmBARK on this journey with you and your pack!!

In terms of investments, training is second to none when it comes to setting up your new companion for success. Just like you, your companion is a pack-oriented, social creature. Good training is the core foundation that will establish a mutual pack mentality in which all members work together cooperatively. To keep a pack functioning at its best, clear and concise communication is an unavoidable necessity!
Your mission is to listen to your dog. What was just said to you, through their body language? What is the motivation behind good or bad behavior? What is your motivation for encouraging or discouraging? We expect our companions to listen to us, but how often are you actually listening to them? Through diligence and focus in learning their language, you’ll know for certain what your companion is trying to tell you. Your canine studies and gets to know you from the very first moment you adopt them! Obedience training is absolutely dependent on creating this mutual communication.

Important Information:
- Our first lesson is all about getting to know you guys, we will be mostly talking.
- The EmBark training program is designed to go week by week in order to ensure the best foundation is created.
- Class is about an hour, however if we are making breakthroughs or are struggling class may run over time.
- Most teams should plan for 6 weeks, however I’m flexible. Every human and canine learn differently.
- Due to the nature of my training style, class times are estimates, I strive to ensure that you and your team have every opportunity to succeed which can cause me to be early or late.
- We will have a meeting about once a week.
- Everything you and your companion will learn has step by step homework as well as articles to set everyone up for success each week.
- The Price is $150 a lesson we pay as we go.
- Currently we are accepting cash, checks (made out to High Country Canine), and Venmo(@highcountrycanine)
- You and your fur friend will get out what you put in as a team. There is no magic wand, relationship building starts and ends with YOU!
